Hi I have a 14.2hh outgrown Irish bred mare - Cavalier Royale x Touchstone (ISH) x Slyguff Hero (ID)
She was a equivelant JC jumper by age of 6 in Ireland when we bought her and she became PC pony - done ODE, SJ @ Hickstead and area dressage BUT sometimes she can be quirky (typical Cavalier although looks nothing like them - all PC instructors thought she was a New Forest!).
I had a foal out of her 2008 by Palomino Dressage Stallion Angel K 16.1hh http://www.staerebogaard.dk/?Hingste:St%E6rebog%E5rds_Apollo_EPAH_7 and looks like she will make about 15hh.
So the question is do I possibly try and breed another small horse possibly with more bone or go for a pony. An which direction - eventing, dressage, SJ (I event).
So if she was your mare which stallion would you use? Particularly interesting in stallions doing natural cover (especially if in South East but that may be too big an ask!!)
Thank you for your input
- Below are pictures of the mare and 2008 foal. (sorry if they are massive
)
And Foal .. (everchanging colour - she's just gone Golden again!)
