will i need for my pony??

im not sure if he has already had the first "round" and it would just be boosters or if i would need to start them off when i get him (if that makes sense!)

so was just wondering what jabs he will need and how much they cost? and also how often are the boosters needed and what they cost?

thanks

you will need flu and tetanus. the first injection is flu and tet, then another 4-6 weeks later, then 6 months later and from then on it's every year - 1 year flu next year flu and tet etc. costs me around £80 a shot but that's without call out coz i always get it done when the vets out to do Dad's cows! not all our ponies have these injections but if you want to compete, or keep your horse in alot of livery yards you have to have them.

depends what pony has had before. if not had complete course then you'll need to start a new course. i used to pay £25 for flu and tet jab, plus a call out fee. now it costs me a tenner lol - perks of the job

i know the people im getting him off, i used to help them and groom for them at shows, as well as help break ponies for riding and driving. i just cannot remember for the life of me whether he has had vaccinations or not!

is the £25 standard for your jabs-before your perks of the job kick in!! or was that a perk of the job that just got better?!!?!

nope, £25 was what i paid when i was a normal person - once added to call-out fee of £25-50 depending on vet it got pretty expensive. Now I get it for a tenner and the call-out fee is a couple of carrots

If you pay much more than that for a jab, you need to change vets!
