Which is the best wormer to use for this time of year?? There are so many about and I get super confused by it all.
More often than not I use Verm-x, natural wormer but not sure if that is really enough for this time of year so just wondering what you guys would suggest using :)

You could get a worm count done, then the lab should be able to advise on a suitable product if worming is needed. If you didn't worm for tapeworm in the autumn you should do it now, or have a blood test done, as tapeworm can't be reliably identified from a worm count. You will also need to worm for encysted redworm, which won't show up on a count either, but this must be done in the winter, so won't do any good now.

If it's any help, our worming routine is:
January: worm for encysted redworm (moxidectin, i.e. Equest)
April: worm count
July: worm count
October: worm count + worm for tapeworm (praziquantel, e.g. Equitape).

Failing that, wormers must be sold by a suitable qualified person (SQP) who should be able to advise you.

just to add some people have apparently reported positive results with herbal 'wormers' at keeping worm free (count wise) horses that way, but it would be very unwise to use it as a means to trying to reduce a possibly significant worm burden that is already there.
