low cal mollasses free chaff for horse on box rest for 8 weeks? or alternative bucket feed for lunch-time - won't eat soaked hay so am restricting his hay a little to fight the flab. 550KG cob.

I went to a feed merchant at the week-end and she recommended alfa beet - sed could feed bucket loads to laminitics and doesn't heat up horses - so have changed feed for winter to - alfalfa good doer and alfa beet mix with apples and carrots and thats it! feel really weird not feeding a concentrate but hey ho if it does the job then what the whatsits!!!

Did you know that Alfa beet already has Alfa chaff in it already!!! and that you need to soak for 2 hours min...
