In the ‘standard’ price bracket, I really rate the Charles Owen kids helmets. Twice now my two children have had nasty falls and have walked away without even a headache.

Hats straight into the bin obviously, but they did their job perfectly.

I wear one of these at work. They are about the only hats that fit me! A skully dome for work, a navy velvet peaked one for showing.

I love the Charles Owen hats, I’m a ver hot person and for some unknown reason my head sweats less in it.

I have one of these. Cheaper than the adult version (love having a pea head!) and very comfortable.

I've always worn the kids C&O until I upgraded to the 4star 2 years ago, was the only one that would fit my head for ages. I've also had a couple of head injury type falls with no ill effect.

I bought the CO mips and am very pleased with it.
Much more comfortable than the Gatehouse that the hat fitters in the shop sold me!

My C&O kids was comfortable and I changed to the Gatehouse Chelsea Airflow Pro with washable liner. I think the Gatehouse is more compfortable definitley cooler but comfort really depends on the shape of your head. C&O do a newer vented hat which should be coller than the Ayr8
