My OH is away overnight with work tonight and since I was feeling a bit soft ive sneaked one of the dogs in beside me :D
We have 3 and they are never allowed to sleep in the bedroom however Piglet used to be allowed to when I only had her so she knows what it's all about. She's already burrowed under the covers and is snoring...wee lamb.

Stan has taken to getting into bed very quietly in the middle of the night and snuggling up to me under the covers. He's done it 2 nights in a row and my OH hasnt noticed yet...how long do you reckon I can get away with it for?!

See out of the 3 dogs Piglet is rough coated so she doesn't really cast (unlike the other 2)
She was a PITA last night....under the covers then too warm so back out then after half an hour back under again.....this went on all blooming night till 5.45 when she decided she was awake and stood on my chest breathing onto my face from about 1milimeter away :o
Back into the porch with the other 2 tonight methinks.....

I've had the worse possible week and with things only getting more stressful, last night I decided to just let my lot decide where they wanted to sleep...basically cos I wanted some comfort and it was a good excuse for bedtime cuddles. Didn't actually expect all 6 of them to camp out on my bed..under the duvet to be presise!! Needless to say after a very un-restful night tonight the usual 5 will be back downstairs and my normal duvet companion Sidney will be able to relax knowing the whole bed is his again!!! Who knew that 2 staffies, a mutt, a JRT, very skinny lurcher and a standard poodle x could take up so much room on a double bed!!!! I swear those staffies snore could wake the dead!!

they can and my older bitch is worse than most humans.

Mine "keep me company" at nights but gave me a bad fright by going into full staffie alert at 2.30 this morning. Can't ignore it, so phone in hand, sent (brave me!) dogs downstairs and then let them into the garden. "think" it was only a fox but we were all WIDE awake after that!

I did this one night my oh was away and the alarm went off at 2.30 in the morning. The dog was deaf from birth and didnt quite understand why I decided he could come upstairs, but once settled proceeded to climb under the covers and attempted to push me out of the bed using all four feet. I almost ended up in the spare bedroom! Lesson learnt.

My OH is on a big night out tonight so I doubt he will roll in untill 3, even then I doubt he will make it upstairs. He will never notice if I let Betsy sleep with me :p

I have only ever let her sleep with me once and I was woken up by the hairy beast stood on my chest staring at me whilst wagging her little bot off.

Charlie dog slept on my bed for 12 years :o I moved out a year ago and he still sleeps on my old bed, bless him.
