Lol sorry I'm sure it was NOT funny at the time but those pics are just fab! What a character!

Love the look of resignation on mum's face - and the way the handler is gritting is teeth as if he wants to shout some expletive but daren't because he's in the ring!

Was the bloke handling him ok? He got a couple of hard cracks from the foal.

Athletic yes, but also rude and potentially dangerous. I am sure he is an angel at home and it was just the "party" situation that made him get over excited, but I was quite worried at a couple of points!
 
Thanks for the concern Ashbank but no Roger's absolutely fine - on the whole a much easier day for him than handling many clients' horses!

As for our colt's behaviour, I'm afraid it is all for party show - he know's when he's in the ring. He stood beautifully in the collecting ring, enjoyed his Volatis smooch and is a super chap at home and one of our friendliest horses (true to the trakehner in that). Still time for the chop though..
