The pro cush doesn’t ever leave a mark does it?

On no it never does. Racing shooting itself in the foot again. Time it was banned except for correction of course (if you see what I mean)

I don't recall anyone ever saying they will never, ever leave a mark? Nothing is ever guaranteed. I've left a hand print on a horse before that was hot and sweaty.

There are various reasons why a whip could mark a horse - freshly clipped the day or 2 before. Hot skin with all the veins up. Very sensitive horse etc.

I hate clipping horses just before they run because of this.

I had a convo by email a while ago with the BHA who said ‘they don’t mark. They don’t hurt the horse’

I was astonished.

Horse racing will kill itself without any help from the activists.

I’ve been a fan of NH for 50 years. The whip issue has gotten worse over that time (excuse grammar! Gotten?!)

Anyway. If it didn’t hurt what’s the point of it?

Anyway. Good luck Hank. Pretty sure he’ll be in the mix. Good race too even without BMG.
