Evening all!,:o

I have a collection of antique whips, two of which could do with slight repairs. Both whips are over 100 years old so I am looking for a skilled and well recommended craftsman. One is a ladies hunting whip that needs a new flapper binding in and the other is a cane driving whip that needs a new lash binding on the end.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

I remember being on a saddlers site, and I *think* they may of done whip repairs. It was called unicorn leather

You are right and it was me, I replaced some parts on some antique hunting whips donkeys years ago, you can bind them by hand if you are careful. Most saddlers would (should) be able to do this if you have a traditional saddler near you it's worth asking them.Anyone who has ever had to repair a fishing rod (replace ferrules) would be able to do it too, Oz :)
