Whippet or Lurcher rescue wanted

Posting on behalf of a friend who has recently lost her whippet and her remaining lurcher is lonely. I suggested contacting GRWE which she did. She lives near Ayr in SW Scotland and they said it was too far away. Any suggestions please?

I know this is an old thread but Scruples whippet rescue is an amazing charity.
I got my little Alfie from there a few years ago and they gave me lots of support to help him settle in over the first few months. Even now they would help me with advice if needed.
They have lots of whippets and lurchers that need loving homes.

They have foster homes all over the country!

We have a lurcher we're fostering atm.
