Having been told that sending my mare to a spa so she could have freezing seawater treatments to stimulate hoof growth in her front feet, I've checked the price and nearly had a heart attack.... i'd have to leave her there (too far to go back and forth daily, would do a fortune in diesel!), plus cost of daily treatment = a LOT!
So, thinking laterally, hopefully a pair of whirly boots would be almost as good. I hired a pair years ago, does anyone know of anywhere that does this service now? Or perhaps a lovely lovely event rider who might loan me them if they're not being used at the moment? Otherwise will prob have to splash out for a pair... *gulp* £500.
Any suggestions very gratefully received. Thanks!

Could you try to *fashion* some out of a pair of fishing waders?!

Have you tried HR medics? they lent me one of those ice box pumps for my pony when he did sansaw a few years ago, swear they had the whirlpool boots for sale but dont know if they would hire

laterial thinking here, what about taking her to beach and paddling in salt water??? they think it's briliant for racehorses - thinking Red Rum... just idea

Is this the unshod mare? If so, is roadwork an option? I've found it's the dog's proverbials for stimulating hoof growth, with the added bonus of being free!

I know this is an old thread, but ive used cold water and salt in large tub trugs with these bubble jet systems that.clip on the side of the bath, a bit of a faff and the horse needs to be very cooperative, but it was ok
