whitaker bridles-come up big or small?

Im intending to take my 4yo to some small jumping shows over winter, as a break from dressage and as we have no idea(he's green and iv not jumped seriously since 2002) we need all the gear!!!!

he's in a cob elevator bridle for dressage, but i think they do come up big so, would be a full if the whitaker bridles came up small (annoyingly in betweeny sort of horse!).

any help appreciated!

(and of course a new bridle is a must as dressage tack is black and jumping saddle will be brown!!!!)

I have the JW2 Mexican and it comes up big. I bought the full size for previous normal sized mares head, and it was far too big. Fits ginormahorse perfectly

Yes would agree they come up big. Mine is a mixture of cob & full pieces and fits a thumping great 16.2 Irish X!

I've got a full size and it fits my 16.2hh TB mare, she's got what I'd call a "normal" full size head, certainly wouldn't call it big. But the cheek pieces are on seconf hole from top, throat lash on top hole and can't remember nose band.

I've got a cob size one atm, and its currently on the 17hh TB mare,and it fits quite neatly , halfway down the cheek pieces, however is on second from the bottom for the noseband (grackle) , also fits my 14.3hh, but he's usually on full bridles anways so i'd say they come up decently sized

thats odd I have a JW8 and had to buy a full size for a small cob so ??? will let you know more when I've tried it on my new WB

no help on the sizing - but mole valley farmers have them for about £55 at the moment! they have a website!

I have a cob size on my 15h, fits perfectly, and a full on my 16.2, the cob fitted him apart from the browband which was too small

i can't see them on the web - they had them in store last week. they have most of all the other john whitaker stuff on there

ok so my cob must have had a big head as it fits my new WB too lol
