Does anyone wear riding tights for competing?
Are they awfully see-through?

I’ve lost weight and my white competition breeches now look horribly baggy so I’m looking for some new ones. I like pull-on style really and I recently bought myself a grey pair of riding tights for everyday use, which I really like from a comfort point of view, so I was considering trying white riding tights for competitions. Or is that a dreadful idea?

Recommendations much appreciated.

Sorry no help on makes, but saw a girl competing in white riding tights for the first time at the weekend and definitely see through.

Oop. I haven’t but have wondered about the noble outfitters ones in lighter colour as they are a thicker material than most so might be ok. I find them really comfy and now have two sets. But I don’t compete enough to warrant white or beige versions.

Scratch that, I thought I’d see them in white but now don’t think they do lighter colours.

Will be very brand dependent as material varies - perhaps worth looking at the winter weight options as they'll be slightly thicker material?

What about Kerrits? They do silicone seated beige and white tights made for competing. I had a beige pair I use for XC and dark ones for home use - they're very comfy. Cant say if the white is see through though - do you really need white?

I am a Kerrits convert having bought a pair in the States a couple of weeks ago. They are better than Noble for the summer and far less 'slippy' material. Where can you get them in the UK? Would love a beige full seat pair.

My friend bought cheap riding tights for about £20 from Derby House and competes in them. They aren't see through (unless it rains I suppose, but that's the same with most white breeches!)
