As the title really, I only wear a white saddle pad for dressage, but it always comes off black when I've used it, it doesn't matter how much I brush Joey and scrub my tack it's minging when it comes off and it doesn't come up white when I wash it!

Does anyone have any sugestions on how to keep a white pad white!?

Thanks in advance

Soak it in napisan :D And wash with Vanish. Reg's is going strong on this routine, and glowing white at events.

I think they still sell it .....Stain Devils "Colour Run" ....keeps the white white! takes away that awful grey hue when white get overwashed.

Thanks everyone :D it's so frustraiting seeing everyone else with gleaming white pads and mine has marks on it off the grubby cob haha

I have some vanish so I'll be sure to try that one tomorrow before the stains get set in :)

I wash with vanish, and I also make sure that all my whites go straight in the washing machine within about 5 minutes of unloading the horse at home! I think some pads are also more likely to hold onto stains. I am using a PE square at present, and it seems to be washing up really well everytime.

I use it for dressage, then once I have untacked it goes straight into a bag in the car. Once home I pop it in some napisan for a day or so then spray with Sard Wonder Soap before washing it with more napisan and some blue-o (optical brightener). Keeps my whites, gleaming white :)
