Have been searching the internet and Ebay with no success.

All I want is a white (or at least mainly white) cotton summer sheet! My black horse gets terribly hot standing about at shows in the sun, so thought a white sheet would help repel the suns rays a bit. Plus, want just want a cover-up to keep him clean.

The only thing vaguelly close seems to be the Kool Coat, what are these like? Are they mesh or cotton material? Otherwise does anyone know of anything which matches what I want?

They are lightweight canvas but I leave mine on in drizzle etc as cant really be running around dressing ponies all day! Never gets soaked through though, and dries really quickly.

I have the same problem as you, have a dark bay who hates the sun, so purchased a Kool Koat and it does the trick.......also looks smart for shows.........

Kool Koats are fab on my black cob and will withstand a bit of rain. Very heavy duty woven cotton that lets air through. Ive never had an overheated horse in one even in the hottest weather.

Another Kool Coat fan we use them on M&M ponies inc a black welsh cob as he suffers terribly when its hot...the Kool Coat has made things a lot better for him

Another fan here after advice from some of the people above!

I got the combo in white with blue lines last month on offer for £22.99, which I had bought 2 now - one for shows and one for the field! Fits much better than any light coloured fly sheet I have tried!

Only used it for shows so far but am really impressed for the money

I ordered the combo and was very surprised when it arrived that the neck was not detachable. If you look at Prittsticks 2nd piccie hers is the same.

However the combo is just the neck cover sewn onto the rug - I am planning to detatch mine and sew on D-rings and attachments as my horse has hardly any mane due to winter rugs so I need to keep the neck cover off as much as possible if it is to ever grow back!

I was disappointed at first and then I thought about it and the rug and neck cover separately are £16.99 each on equestrian clearance so even though it's a bit fiddly it's a bargain.

The neck cover will come off the rug very easily.

Also unlike other combo's I have tried on my boy the neck cover fits very nicely as it is.
