hello again!

My pony has recently been getting a running nose and his 'snot' (can't think of a better word) is white-ish/yellow-ish and he's been sort of coughing every now and then but snorts quite a lot and his snot sometimes dripps onto the floor, and i have been finding it by surprise. I have just been cleaning his nose for just now and i haven't ridden just in case.

What has he got ?
And is it serious?

Please feel free to ask more questions as i know i haven't explained the problem very well at all.

Also should i call the vet ?

Thank you.

Definatley get the vet.

My mare has just recovered from a sinus infection, I knew what it was so called the vet as soon as I noticed the symptoms. Five days of antibiotics and she was completly clear! These things can get pretty nasty if left though, the sooner you can get the antibiotics (if needed) the quicker it generally clears up.

But obviously without seeing the pony nobody can say for sure what is wrong and for what its worth I don't think a vet call out is ever a waste of time or money if you care about your horse :)

VET ASAP.

Could be allergies, sinus infection, tooth abscess or even strangles.

Agree! My old TB had something similar to what your describing and his only turned out to be an allergy to the straw we had - but you never know until you have tests done..
