Hello, i have been to see a horse today that i have taken quite a fancy to, so much so that i have left a deposit. It was only when i received the reciept that i found out that it wasn't a private sale at all but effectively a trader called 'White Roses Horses' they are based in North Yorks, Easingwold to be precise and i wondered if anyne had heard of them or had had dealings with them. The yard was tidy and clean, the horses seemed healthy and hapy and the staff were friendly however having had so many negative experinces with dealers over the last few months (saying a horse was something it really wasn't) i am scared that i will get the mare home only to discover its a raving loon! i am looking for some reassurance! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks
Becky

I like you went to look at there horses but the one I liked had been sold , I have heard only good things about them.
I bought my horse from a dealer and at the moment all is well but I did get a three month warenty with himm to exchange only which I thought was fair as others either give 2 weeks or a month .
I live near Selby by the way

A friend bought a horse from them a couple of months ago. Nice looking horse, and its history has checked out ok. Passed a 5 stage vetting and seems exactly what she was looking for. She said they were nice straightforward people to deal with and all the horses there were in good condition. They also steered her away from horses they felt would be too much for her as she is a little nervous. On that experience would certainly recommend them.

I met juliet a while back when she moved up to York - was looking at a SJ youngster she had - he wasn't right for me but I was impressed with her manner and the way she schooled her horses. Also she didn't push anything and was very honest about what the horse had done. I would happily buy from her. They used to be sledmere horses based in west yorkshire.

Kinderhorse - are you a member of Selby RC? Trying to get some info on it as thinking of joining!

PollyB, I would say go for it, if you've seen the horse and you liked him that much, trust your judgement. If possible, go and seee the horse a couple more times and take someone with you- I trust you are having him vetted? Good luck - let us know how you get on! Also they have a website - google it and have a look.

(PS - Did you ride in that arena with the drop down to the hills? I tried a very feisty SJ horse there - was conviced I was going to head over the edge

Kinderhorse - We're based in York (across the north side) but thinking of moving horses to Escrick (if you know it). Selby RC is inDeighton so thought it might be worth joining!
