Who do Advets say reduced.....?

lol could be lots of reasons, overpriced to start with, perhaps desperate to sell as now they have the new replacement they don't have time or space for the old one, to make people think they are getting a bargain, lost their grazing, family break up the list could go on forever

I agree, they probably have had the horse on the market for some time and now need a quick sale. I wouldnt worry about it either way, due to the current climate most people require a quick sale, even if they arent honest about it in the advert.

I would take it that the cost of keeping the horse is mounting up the longer they keep it so they have reduced the price accordingly.
I have a 15.2 hh mare for sale and if she doesn't sell within the next month I will think about dropping her price too, as keeping shoes on at £70 every six weeks soon mounts up.
I have tried to price mine realistically as both are now redundant as my daughter works away, the plan being a fair price has more chance of succeeding..
