Looking disdainfully at the lashing rain outside and putting off walking down the yard?

I really don't fancy a mile walk in this with a bag of feed!!!

I have already been out to the be-draggled gang, fed hay and food and now I'm drying off by the fire.

It's okay you're not the only one, mum doesn't want to drive in this and we've been told to stay away from our yard for now as there are trees coming down left, right and centre

Well I'm at work and had to do mine at 6.30 this morning in the pitch black.

I'll swap my day at work for a second run out in the rain if anyone wants to?

I'm lucky. Hubby goes back to work today, I don't. So he got up and did the horses (got truly soaked) while I lay in bed wondering if the roof was about to blow off. He brought me a coffee up and two wet dogs before he left.

Aww, he sounds epic, my OH would never do that :D he's scared of horses though, so I might let him off

Just been and done them, very pleased to come in for a breather they were, bit tricky trying to keep the gate open for them to come in and the little one nearly got blown off his feet the wind was so bad, they were fine and dandy as live out anyway but i am not putting their hay out for it to be blown halfway across the county and my field is totally waterlogged altho does dry quickly so they'll be back out later.

I'm still here. Lol. Sorted the feed out and have a bag of nuts kindly donated by a friend sitting outside my stable.

Going down later this evening and doing her horse for her, as she kindly did my lot for me this morning.

Also means I can buy all the reduced bread from the shop tonight on my way there for my horses now...they'll want it to rain more often!

me, I decided to have coffee inside this morning rather than carrying it around with me.

No wind like yours here but it's 'feeling like' -21C morning

I am putting off going out for as long as I can. I don't actually mind the cold but there is a bitter lazy wind today and I hate that.

Hope that you all stay safe, trees and broken things can be sorted, mended or replaced easily enough, people often not so, take care.
