Who else was hacking out today ?

I was out by 7.30 this morning, so peaceful and still. I love an early morning hack. Didn't go far cos we were overseeding some parts of our fields too. Heavy rain forecast tomorrow so needed to get them down. Hope everyone had fun.

I've had two twenty minute hacks, on the road, in a straight line. Sounds very dull indeed, but having just been given the all clear to bring my horse back into work, after a year of suspensory related hell, those little pootles felt better than the longest gallop...

Am EXTREMELY happy, and so is he!

No hacking today, but did long rein round the gallops . . . sunshine, bluebells, wonderful company, my gorgeous silver boy . . . it was lovely. No pictures, though . . . bit hard to manage two lunge lines, a schooling whip and a camera ;).

After yesterday's post, I now have today's post! Bit windy here, and certainly pushing the limit with my mare who hates the wind but we did go out today. It was more a case of once I was committed, then I had to ride the circuit or she will start napping again!! Well, she held it together remarkably well, past noisy farm buildings and across the open common. Just getting to the end of the ride and we met something that is new to both of us, a steam engine!!! She looked but she wasn't going close, and she went back down the hill to the yard with the wind under her tail incase it decided to follow her and eat her!!!

I had a lovely unexpected hack as had only intended to spend 20 minutes in the school! But it was so lovely we joined a couple of friends for a couple of hours! Had one slightly hairy moment as H decided he could take the (big hunter) on the woodland path and leapt into a gallop as we went round the corner! I twisted my back trying to pull him up! I KNOW it's going to ache tomorrow!
