EVERYTHING was pink but then I started riding with a contact and got all serious (sarcasm intended) and I decided that there was to be no pink on the mare - only black or burgundy. Pink is reserved for stable items/accessories etc.
My horses have extensive wardrobes of matchy matchy and toney toney outfits it's sad but fun .
All travel wear is matchy to the lorry gold and burgundy.
Hahaha! This is funny because co owner and I disagree about giant donkeys best colour! he is a flea bitten grey gelding. I say red, or perhaps red and navy, she wants purple. Purple? For a boy!?
Thankfully he came with a full wardrobe incl red numnah and purple headcollar so we haven't fallen out over it... yet
As I have 3 horses who all wear the same size rugs / headcollars / bridles etc - Yes - I have a colour scheme.... Mr Bump is in green, Bert the squirt is in black and Panjo B is in blue - avoids a world of confusion about rugs / tack and feeds ( feed buckets are colour co-ordinated too!
I had a boy horse so went for navy and white, now I have a girly haffy with a long girly mane so I am embracing a bit of pink in my life (and loving it haha). So I end up with navy and pink which I feel is a happy balance :-D
However why is there always the item you want in every colour combination except the one you want?!
Blue in any shade to match my colours xc and my showjacket. The lorry's blue too
However Conn suits just about anything and his travelling set is a newmarket in gold, brown and red, a leather headcollar, a matching rope to his rug, red and brown boots and a red tail bandage. So matchy matchy
We also have a pretty cool rider-horse match match with 2 of my hoodies matching a pair of bandages and another matching both my saddle cloths
I gave up with the colour scheme when I realised when you are having to find things to fit the most awkward sized pony in the world! I think she looks great in brown though, anything suits a grey really ..
