Im buying a quad but cant make up my mind which one! I want a Honda TRX400 or foreman but there are also some reasonable suzuki eigers, kawasakis and a yamaha. So what do you have and how well do they pull a 4/5ft water full ballast roller on a hill?!
Muchos Gracias!

Have you considered a diesel one, it will be a lot more economical than the quads you mention, probably cheaper and will hold its value better and it is made in Scotland.

I do not believe in quads and have a hitch cart for my horse that allows me to sit on and pull menage and paddock maintenance implements. For heavier tasks I have a Massey Ferguson 35 tractor which is nice and small, economical and reliable. Cost me #300.00 15 years ago and is probably worth #2500.00 now.

Bought a Foreman TRX500 last month - very pleased with it so far

We had a look good around at all makes on the market and going by personal recommendation from farmers and gamekeepers etc who actually work their quads, the Honda came out way ahead of the others.

Would second Hondas. We have a 350 4x4 quad which is excellent. Great handling and pulling power immense, esp in 4wd. All the farmers round here seem to have Hondas which I think is a good advert.

I have a Honda 4x4 and a Yamaha Grizzly, and I must admit I prefer the yamaha because it is bigger and I find it more comfortable to ride. It also has an automatic gearbox which I find easier for grading the arenas. However there is nothing wrong with the Honda, it is just personal preference.

Here's my one I built it myself and technically it is called a Hitch Cart because it has a tow ball and jaw and is for towing things. I call it my Highland Hurlygig and as yuou can see it has flotation tyres like a quad.
The seat lifs off and a tipping box goes on for mucking out etc.
For those who do not know him that is my young horse Kelpie who I normally ride as a lead horse.
It is definatly a bit more substantial than a Saddle Chariot and home made too
