O/H had to nip into work this evening to check on a few things.
As nobody has been there for any real time the last couple of weeks the heating etc is off. Quickest way to heat workshop is using a gas blower thingy which heat's the place up super quick.
Daughter turns to dad and says
"Dad whats burning?"
Dad replies with
"Dunno, cant smell anything......oh yes I can, smells like burning hair?"
Yep the STOOOOPID dog has sat so close to the bloody heater he has melted his whiskers AND singed a patch on the back of his neck (obviously where he was curled up)
He had to be called away from sitting so close as he had no idea he was literally smoking!!!
He isnt the hairest dog to start with as O/H has him clipped, so he must have felt it surely???

So now heater is not allowed on if stupid dog is in the workshop as he might just set himself on fire!!!
Nearly three years he has been around the thing and its only tonight he tries to cook himself!!!
Bear is not hurt in any way, he just looks like a muppet at the mo!

*giggles*
Just noticed he has done one eyebrow too!
This is too good. I need to try and get a piccy so you can all laugh too!
Disclaimer: Obviously I wouldnt be laughing if Bear had hurt himself, and he wont be getting the opportunity to do it again either!

His neck looks worse in a photo, his fur has gone all cotton wool like!
He will have to be re-clipped again tomorrow, idiot dog!

He has gone to bed with his daddy now, sulking because I keep looking at him and laughing.
No doubt he will get his own back.....probably by eating my new jods!

My goldie is always missing bits of fur at this time of year from trying to hug the fire - she's done it every year since she was a pup and shes 14 now so obv not done any harm

I have a gas oven and the Gas oven has quite a big flame and can be a bit temperamental when lighting it. Dog shoved his head in oven as I lit the oven. The dog has no whiskers for ages.

He's done this twice now and still shoves his head in the oven!!
He is a greyhound though

ME

Well not stuipd to get there but stupid to be there.

The last few nights have been taking water for the horses as theirs is frozen. I fill using a hose through the bedroom window and apparently I've been watched.

Last night I shut the muts in while I sorted the hose I walked back down to the house and movement caught my eye, I thought whats that big cat doing on my roof! Sh*t it's Digger! Little fat chops had decided he would get a better view of what I was up to and had unlatched the window from the chair and hopped out onto the sloping porch roof. It's a 10ft drop and he was farting around in the gutter!

All that money I spend on dog training paid off as for once he did stay, while I ran upstairs faster then Usain Bolt and called him back through the window.

Was wondering how to explain the paw prints under my neighbours bedroom window, but it snowed again last night!

Millie managed to get a real good look at our open gas fire at christmas!!! She stuck her head right into the flames, but luckily OH saw her and yanked her out before she singed!!

Do you think they are depressed??

Bear LOVES the snow, he is quite possibly of the "few sandwiches short of a picnic" clique however (but show me a spangle that isnt!).
Snow ball catching is an all time favorite sport at the mo, the bigger the better.
He probably will be depressed later having been scrubbed, and clipped again to remove the burnt bits!
MQ Millie needs a mad playmate to cheer her up. Bring her over to play with Harry!
