of braking the ice on their water troughs?

When i was up yestyerday the ice is starting to melt(slightly) but it is still about 8 inches thick on the baths out in the field.

ME *waves* thismorning i used my foot to smash the ice which turned out not to be as frozen as it has been on previous mornings.. que nearly my entire leg being submerged in icey cold water which went over my welly! What a brilliant boxing day pressy for me!

At least it didn't nearly break your ankle ladybones! That's what happened to me yesterday when it was twice as thick as it had been. Ice didn't even almost give, my ankle just got a nasty jolt! It's starting to thaw now though, thank god! Please go away so i can have a nice long hack on monday??

My foal brakes the ice in his trough! Its a double one and I was braking the ice on one side when foal came along and decided the other side was better to drink out of applied pressure to the ice with his nose and broke it!

Awww what a clever foaly! Sooo cute, i wish mine were that clever, it would save in sock washing! I have mixed feeling about when it all melts, it will be brill to be able to ride again.. but think how fizzy they'll be! And it'll be nice to have grass again BUT.. think of the mud erghh.
