Who is clipping!!

Ooooh i loooove clipping!!! x Best part of having a horse! x I'm thinking of doing it next week, i was going to do it this week but as we are competing on Sunday and they need a week to look a bit better than when they are first done! x
 
None of mine need clipping yet, but I've had several enquiries for bookings and have several hairy Thelwell type ponies to do over the next few days. Its not the clipping I dislike so much, well when they have no coats like mine, thats fine; but teeny tiny Thelwells that need standing on a table and their hair gets absolutely everywhere is not something I relish :(:(. lcharles, you can come and help me if you want to :D:D

Hi looking for someone to clip horse for a fee can not find anyone one in South Lanarkshire can you advise.
 
Clipped 1 of ours the weekend - got lines wonky so all had to come off - he was very patient - took him outside to check him over in natural light & the little sod ran off & rolled :(
 
Depending on how well my 3 year old stands for mother it'll be a bib or a low trace clip. She's only hacking but is a sweaty little Piggy ATM. Don't want her chilling from sweat, but I don't want to have to keep on clipping her so leaving her til beginning of November if I can
 
I clipped yesterday. All off apart from legs and head. I got a bit creative a stenciled a love heart (artistic licence required) on her bum too. She looks very cute :D
 
My two are done now :). Im useless at leg lines on the hinds :o, but saddle patches are looking pretty smart for once :). I didn't get hairy clipping the first somehow, but when doing the other one I finished up looking like I had stubble from all the black fur stuck to my face :o
 
I HATE clipping!!!! Just recently moved to a yard that has staff for the first time ever, so got a lovely person there to do it. Cost me £65 to get them both done, which included bringing them in and brushing them before/ after. So pleased :D
 
Mine is fully clipped! Did it last week, only just started getting fluffy but I can't stand the scurf from winter coats, and mud getting everywhere, so much easier with no hair! Got it all off and gave him a good bath, he's gotta feel better for it.
 
Going to do it next weekend armed with dormosedan,twitch and ear plugs!! I think a hair-proof morph suit would be a pretty cool invention...
 
I clipped both of mine last week. The old girl was starting to resemble a yak and I wanted the youngster tidy for the area festival this weekend. V relieved to have got it done at least for now.
 
clipped 4 so far, took forever and it was 3 hunter clips, 1 full clip! Only took so long as I am a bit OCD with the tail V, leg lines and half faces but they do look beautiful now :D I also had a request to do a heart on a bum - luckily the pony was grey so he was covered in highlighter to mark it out.

I hate doing it, but it is so worth it- especially with my coloured gelding having clipped legs, he has the hair potential of a gypsy cob and I am always trying to keep it under control, grooming is so much easier :) just think of the end result, and how nice it is to have hot and sweaty horses that are comfortable and dry off in 10 mins :) ... it sort of helps when you are picking hair out of your eyeballs anyway...
 
I've done 12 full clips and some tidy ups of badly done ones at work so far! 2 to do tomorrow and goodness knows how many at the other yard.

Damn my ocd and neatness! The other lass leaves clumps here there and everywhere - especially chest, neck join to shoulder and underneath. The leg lines arent great either - it's not THAT hard to follow the muscle! She also refuses to clip heads which just looks ridiculous!

Last year I did over 200 clips from October to March - all full clips with legs and half head left on.
