Now entries have closed, I just wondered who is going? I am taking two youngsters this year - my own trad coloured yearling, and a 2yo PBA that I bred, but has now been sold (I am producing/showing for the owners).

My yearling will be doing the in hand coloured youngstock and in hand traditionals. I know she wont come anywhere (youngstock class will be up against 1,2,3yos of all shapes and sizes and traditional class is open to any age/sex so definately be upstaged by some huge stunning beast of a stallion for sure) but it is more for experience than anything else.

The 2yo will be doing in hand hacks and the PBA class. She is looking stunning at the moment, so hopefully she might stand a chance of a place.

It will be first time I've not shown anything in the hunters/sporthorses - but my top mare is now on loan. I have another mare due to foal, but after complications with her first foal (that sadly died) there was no way I was tempting fate and entering her before the foal is safely on the ground! I've heard that Moggy is showing 1,2 and 3yo's this year, so really no point in taking anything out TBH. I might be showing another horse in the small hunters for someone else (depends on class timings).

So, who else is going, what are you doing, and how are we all going to recognise each other??

Don't rule out the inhand traditionals. I have on the odd occasion been at the high end of the line with Stinky as a two/three year old in an open class, and I have seen a good filly take the top in an open class of traditionals over stallions plenty of times. It was the year Stinky was a four year old that was my worst inhand year as he was not one or the other - to weedy for an adult and not a baby.

Good luck and I am jealous. I had intended on doing this one, but am going to plan to be there next year now.

Are you planning any CHAPS/BSPA classes with your little one - I am fully intending to be at the BSPA summer champs as I am missing the winter ones for the first time in years.

Good luck and I hope to see you out and about - I am doing a few BSPA shows this year, but may well get my friend to ride Stinky for me as proper riding won't be possible until late May/June.

Remember - whatever you put for the name on the BSPA passport is your show name and you are stuck with it, so make sure you like it first. Also give them plenty of time as they can be a little slow. I love the BSPA but paperwork can be a bit fraught on occasion.

If you see What A Chance on the schedules, that is actually Mr Stinky, so come and say hello to us - I will stand out - no hair and one boob!

Buckeroo Bonsai Bananahead is entered for the CB class, only staying one day due to Donks due date hovering around this time.
