Who is going to Blair...

I might go DOWN to Blair, but only to watch. Was thinking about doing the BSJA but stabling will be full by now. Qualified for the working hunter and equitation SJ which I would have done if they were on the same day.

We were asked to jump judge but can't because willie my old pony not keeping that well these days and don't want to leave some one else to looking after him!

Its the biggest event we really get to go to all year being away up here in the NE of scotland, so really looking forward to going can you tell ?

OK I will look out for you and cheer you on. I will prob be doing the shute with my friend who has a huge mop of blond curly hair, more noticeable than my brown bob! What's your horse's name? His legs do look really long in the pictures!!!

I am! Also doing the CCI**. It's my first CCI** having done the * at Blair last year. Fingers crossed for good weather. I have also asked for Thursday dressage but apparently XC start for the CCI* has been changed and is not near the dressage so I don't think it will make too much difference!
 
I'm going for the long weekend (Fri-Mon) to watch and am waiting for my Fri/Sat/Sun tickets to arrive in the post any day soon! Super excited! We are camping on site (poor Hubby is being dragged along! He has his camera to wander off and take pictures with if he gets too bored!), think we got one of the very last pitches and I booked months ago!

Like others have said, it's the biggest event in Scotland and really exciting to see so many top riders and the XC course is just beautiful. And the tradestands too...

if there are any more F&M cases they'll put a ban on the movement of horses aswell as cloven footed animals

I think it is highly unlikely they will put a ban on the movement of horses - they didn't last time and the Government seem very keen to keep the 'countryside open' this time. Of course if it does get worse and events have stock using their land then they may decide to cancel but it would be up to individual events.
 
I hope you're right! This was only released over the weekend though as the local cob festival may be cancelled. The minsitry are taking it very seriously this time as they made a mess of the situation in 2001.
 
Oh no... don't say that! It hadn't even occurred to me that that might be the case as it's all happening so far away.

Fingers crossed it has been contained (not just because I want Blair to go ahead, but I feel desperately sorry for the farmers who must be terrified of a 2001 repeat)
