I am still feeding zak and it seems to be quite a lot-he could still do with a liitle more weight on. But today the YO said that he would probs be fine on the grass. But i dont want to stop feeding and him to lose weight....what are you all doing?

erm....mine get fed all year round. I might alter the diet a little but I certainly dont stop feeding them.

Amber will be fed all year as she has supplements. She'll have a bit less feed in the summer though.

Gypsy, Septre and Jethro will not be fed during the summer as they are all tubby and dont want any lami probs. They are having their feed reduced abit now.

Mine have supplements too. In the summer when they live out, you'll find me down the field hand-feeding from a plastic bag so they get their supplements. My arthritic mare needs them particularly when the ground gets hard. I only feed enough to make the supplements palatable though as our grass is very abundant.

Mine are now out 24/7 and last week I was bringing them in to feed them and they actually left their buckets! So at present, lots of grass and no food. If I notice a change in weight, I'll pick the feed up, but dont consider that will happen.

I would be stopping feeding Murph as much come end of April. He would then just get a minimal feed, obviously more when he had worked.

If he doesn't want it then perhaps he doesn't really need it?
I'll still feeding SWUO, although that's really only because she has her balancer...and it's only soaked fibre nuts at that, with a few chopped veggies in(which she loves)
She's sulking as I've stopped giving her haylage though

well he is still getting Allen page calm condition, alfa A oil, sunflower seeds and topspec leisuretime, garlic and apple cider vinegar(gosh that sounds like LOADS!) So i was thinking of dropping the C&C?

The babies are fed almost all year round here, however the grown horses will cease being fed around May time.

unfortunately im still feeding mine. As soon as they go out onto their summer grass then ill readdress it but as they have no grass at all in their paddock and are living on haylage, i need to feed them.
The other 2 have plenty of grass but need to have their supplements so get fed to have them.

Stopped feeding my two now as they are out on loads of grass so are not interested in their bucket feed at all!! Did want to continue getting the calmer down the mare but she is really not interested!

I feed something all the year round to get their vits and mins in, the big one is still getting full winter meals as he is a bit of a whippet at the moment and the grass isn't that good

weve no grass (land overgrazed but YO takes on mire horses), so im still feeding, one is lame and is cut back to his allowance of blue chip and some alfa-a, other is being built up and is on a full feed
