I've never been a fashionable person, always tended to dress dorky but now it seems that I can finally be a fashion icon in my side saddle habit!

Mine too, he always moans when he gets me from the stable that I stink or he moans that all I wear are jods.

Tonight I just picked some hay out of my hair. I don't know how long it had been there for as I did all the hay this morning. Must have been there all day, even when I went to work at my son's school.

No side-saddle hunting, then? Or side-saddle WH, or side-saddle hacking in the park? Whats the BD position on side-saddle, just out of interest?

BD says that a side saddle is permissable and you can carry a whip no matter the level.

I checked this before I entered Hattie side saddle at my local riding club's dressage show last year just to make sure I had come back incase they said "no side saddle" as they follow BD rules for their side saddle shows.

Don't know how they'd feel about long pleated skirts in red and flared coat tails though. LOL, I'll stick to my black wool habit

OH's mates are always after coming to the yard- they have visions of young women in tight white jods etc......when in reality they would be faced with several 40+ women in jeans, sticking of horse piss with wild hair and no make-up.
