Who rode today :)

I had a nice couple of hours out this afternoon just me and my ridden boy (love hacking by myself!) whilst hubby cooked a roast and entertained daughter - perfect Sunday!

Had 10 minutes in the school, can't get to anywhere without road/track work and it was way to icy to even try today. Was a bit dodgy getting to the school even

Too icy to hack out here but we are lucky to have a small indoor so took madam in this morning. She's not very fit so we were just doing a bit of work in walk. Totally lethargic for the first 10 minutes then she must have heard something outside as she just went from donkey to bronco! I ended up round her neck and it was easier just to slide off than to try and get back in the saddle. Spent the next 20 minutes trying to persuade her to go back imto the scarey corner - lots of snorting and running backwards! Got there eventually though I'm pleased to say. :)

I took my 3 year old for his first hack, decked in tinsel, with my friend riding Fergles :D

Due to not having a saddle i did a bit of walk and trot schooling bareback in the school trying out the new bridle (first time with a flash) worked wonders and was a nice chilled out session.
Then re clipped him :)

Me :) I took part in a Le Trec Competition at my yard. It was my first ever go at anything like this and I really enjoyed it. :) We ended up coming 5th in the Pairs Class and 3rd in the Newcomers Class so I was very pleased!

Far to icy where I am in lancashire. Black ice and huge divots of mud turned to concrete.
I did hack the welshie round the school in walk in Saturday. To keep a friend company whose horse can be a bit hot! She was bored though and couldn't get her head round walking about in the frozen school lol
