put my new pagony on today and very pleased.nice fit, nice material and has done the job keeping the migdes from biting.

but....
whats the straps on the shoulders for?
where does the long one by the mane atatch too?
are the little atatchments on the throat for the headcoller throatlash?

(i bought the one with the ears on and a fringe.)

yes,i`ve not felt a boett so cant comment on that.this one is silkier than the snuggy and a bit of a squish to get over the head and of course you need electric fencing, but i like it very much.

Is the long one on the mane part inside? If its like the Boett it attaches to the belly flap to stop it moving backwards.. and yes the two at the top of the neck are for the hood...

Hi Cahill, i don't know what the straps on the shoulders are for or the ones on the poll, I put my girls headcollar strap through the one on the poll though, not sure if you are supposed to!
Now the long one on the neck that looks like an elephants trunk, runs down under the neck and then attaches to the belly flap with two straps and a velcro strap too.
hope this helps

i know it is working because she would have rolled a few times yesterday and she never.
it was taken off last night when she went in and she made no attempt to rub on the doorframe.
i have put it on today and will do now every day but there are no midges out at the mo cos its too windy.

a definate thumbs up for this product.

I'd be really interested if they get hot in this rug as the fabric seems a bit nylony compared to the Boett and also hoe it fares in the really midgey weather.
Also, the website states that its an excema rug and doesn't actually state sweet itch so wonder if its for milder cases.
Is your mild or more severe?..

well,my bottom field can be damp and that doesnt help.
i would say she is not a severe case and never had a bald tail.its her neck that she itches the most.
BUT
if i never bothered to manage it i think it would get severe as the summer progresed.
also
never had much luck with sprays-cover up is the way to go.
