Hi :)

I have seen two horses, I really really like, so I'm hoping to go and have a look at them both :)

But, who do I take with me to see them?
I have a choice of three people;

my riding instructor - who is lovely ; but once I get my horse I will only be able to afford a lesson a month.
my yard owner - who seems nice; but I dont really know
a farrier - he's my great-uncle

all of them are lovely, mum thinks I should bring YO, but I dont know her that well, and would feel a bit awkward ringing her up and asking her to come along...and I'd feel the same awkwardness asking my riding instructor :confused:

I was thinking maybe asking my uncle to come along; then if it goes well bring YO along for a second viewing/vetting ?

What do you think? :)

Instructor. Thats the person best placed to see if the horse is potentially right for you and you are not under/over horsing yourself.
Your instructor will also see any possible ridden problems that may make that particular horse unsuitable for you.

would take your farrier - he can see feet after all no foot, no horse....
also your instructor - for obvious reasons

Instructor - she won't mind if you can only have one lesson a month, she will know your riding style the best and will be able to tell if the horse suits you.
