Hello , I am currently looking for a groom position and have been emailing a many people as possible, but I don't know who else to try.

I'm looking for a groom position at an event yard and I'm in the south but willing to travel anywhere.

Years ago I got a job down in England that had been advertised in the Horse and Hound magazine job section, that could be worth a shot? They advertised themselves as an 'event yard' but were nowhere near as good as they made themselves out to be! I also years ago contacted a very well known British show jumper and enquired about doing a couple of weeks work experience. Was asked to go down for an interview and bottled it! Still kicking myself!

I found that it was very easy to get a job if i was willing to start straight away, if going for a job interview I turned up i kitted out.
OK not what is advised, but even if it only lasts a short time, you have got more experience, and you may land on your feet.

Do you want a job now where you will get to do more riding, take on more responsibility? You need to sell yourself to your employer when you meet them so be positive about your abilities and honest about where you feel you need to improve and try and be clear about what you want from the job. From what you have done so far you know what the job involves so have a think about what you would like to achieve in the future. :)
