I use the solid one, it does go more liquidy the warmer it gets but have no trouble getting it out with a paint brush. I like the thick one as I think it acts as more of a barrier
I use the solid one with the bayleaf in it and it does slowly seem to be helping, trouble is George loves the smell of it and is always trying to stick his nose in!!
Oh if your horse is prone to thrush you need to use Thrush Buster first to clear it up and then either of the Kevin Bacons to keep it away. Thrush Buster is fab, you can get it on ebay if your farrier doesnt carry it. You sound like you are in exactly the same boat I was in a few months ago
