To my completely untrained eye I would say the first looks best. The second one looks too narrow and the third tree is the wrong shape.

I could be completely wrong though, there are much more knowledgeable people on here.

can't really see from the photos, but once girth on it looks like they saddle is too far up the horses shoulder, but maybe just the angle photo is taken from.

Ok, I'm no expert but....

The first two look a bit on the narrow side, the second one being the worst and the panel on the last one looks a touch lumpy/overstuffed. If they were all I had to choose from, I'd probably go for the first.

I think the first as well, it def looks the best fit out of the bunch.
Never seen saddles like 2 or 3? What are they? Without wishing to offend, they arent very easy on the eye are they?

they are no name and an equxtra terranger
personally i dont care what the saddle looks like as long as its comfy for horse and rider, im very much for functional rather than aestetically pleasing and useless

Very true & to be honest you dont see it when you sit on it anyway, i was curious more than anything, no wish to offend :)

The photos are actually only partially helpful - could you take them all from a little further away? You just can't really see the shoulder and rib cage from the front shots, and you need the whole horse in when looking at front to back balance - take them like a conformation shot.

I'm no great fan of any of them as they look now, they could well be too far forwards but impossible to tell without the full horse shot. The first saddle is almost certainly too low at the back and would need a rear riser. The last one looks much too curved from front to back. I'd rather not comment further without better photos :o

No expert but they all look slightly uphill at the front. They also look as though they will interfere with the shoulder but that could just be the angle.

Perhaps try a different saddle fitter :o

I have had two wow fitters look at it and the general consensus is that it is the flair he doesn't like
I will get better photos today was on my own yesterday and toots was asleep in the car (didnt want to leave her long) so just took the pics quickly while he was in for his tea

No expert here but to me I wouldn't be happy with any of them
All look as already said too far forward? And too sat up at front or wrong tree shape?

As I said I'm no expert! Really hope you get something sorted- saddles are a nightmare aren't they! Spent ages finding one for J!

As above - no expert, and no one can really judge from photo's, but i don't think any look great, sorry :o

Are there any other saddle fitters you can try?

I'm not a huge fan of synthetics, but some of the adjustable gullet ones are pretty comfy and give you a lot more variance than the second's a saddler has on hand?

As above I'm no expert but I think number 3 is the best. Really need to see down the back of the saddle as well. The front looks to fit your horse better than the others. Have you ridden in or sat on your horse in any of them also as the fit will change with riders weight and also what about room for a numnah or saddle cloth. I know myself my lad has a working hunter saddle at the moment which is good on him as he has more shoulder room. I've not been much help have I! :D

I dislike the first - look how far towards the back you will be sitting.

Hard to say if they fit or not. One of the best ways is to ride down a steepish hill. If he really shortens his stride then the saddle id pushing into his shoulders

It's hard to suggest anything without a photo of you in the saddles as each may appear very different with a rider and may show up problems you cannot see .I thought the first one looked ok but with a riders weight i wonder if the clearance will be much reduced and too tight. The third one has more clearance room. Can't be more helpful otherwise.
