Yep, have fed autarky to my dog since he was a pup. He was being fed that on the farm where he came from, amongst other things, and he seemed to like it more than anything else. James Wellbeloved was too rich for him. He is 4 now, and a super healthy dog, great coat, and no belly problems. He's a collie by the way. I like the fact that it is chicken and no other meat, plus rice. It has no artificial additives. I am paying £3.80 from my local horse feed merchant at the mo, for a 3kg bag, but it's available in 15kg bags too. The parent company is a partner to Dodson and Horrell I believe.
Good stuff, not that I've tried!!!
Well I grabbed a bag tonight to see what it was like, I paid £11.99 for the sack, said it was normally £12.99, I will mix it with my skinners and see what I think, and I may switch them.
Thankyou Ihotse
Hi - just found this post - FS never remembered to ask me!
I've fed Autarky for about 3 years - bought it as we liked the "healthy" contents - no artificial colourings and no unidentifiable ingredients - we have working cockers and they look fab on it - really good coats, teeth and LOADS of energy (although they are cockers after all!!)
Our oldest bitch had horribly plaquey teeth when we acquired her from unsuitable people - her teeth are way cleaner just from eating the Autarky
Think I'm paying too too much for it though - buy it from Countrywide at £21.95 - used to get it from Highland Industrial Supplies for £16 which TBH was one of the initial attractions.
