Who will be in the British teams?

With the European championships to look forward to later this year, who do you think will be in the British teams? Do you think selectors will go for tried and tested combinations, or will new blood be the order of the day? H&H are interested to hear your views.

I think that it will be:
Eventing
William Fox-Pitt - Tamarillo
Zara Phillips - Toytown
Pippa Funnell - Primmores Pride/Ensign
Mary King - Call Again Cavalier/Cashel Bay
Oli Townend - Flint Curtis

Dressage
Wayne Channon - Lorenzo
Laura Becholsteimer - Mistral Horjis
Sandy Phillips - Lara
Another

Showjumping
John Whittaker
Will Funnell
Robert Smith
Michael Whittaker
 
I think that for eventing...

Zara - Toytown, or maybe Ardfield Magic Star...Luhmulen Pending.
Will - Balincoola or Tam
Oli - Flint Curtis or he has a few other good ones coming up (he had four at Bramham!)
Pip - I doubt Kiri will be ready to go, having done nothing this season yet...dunno if Pippa will go altoghether
Mary King - Call again Cav/ Cashel Bay

What about Lucy, Sharon, James etc. ??? They might have a shot at reserve spots!
 
I think they have 2 individual slots at pratoni and then 4 in the team.
For eventing I think it could be
William Fox-Pitt-Ballincoola or Tamarillo
Mary King-Call Again Cavalier
Ruth Edge-two Thyme
Zara Phillips-Toytown
Sharon Hunt should get a chance aswell as maybe Oli Townend (although dress seems a bit unreliable on flint curis) and maybe Lucy Wiegsma desrves a chnace?. I think by what Pioppa said at Badminton she is concentrating on Hong Kong 2008 with Primmore's Pride.

I don't really know about dress perhaps

I can only speculate on the SJ'ing as i'm not up on the Dressage or Eventing scene, but I think subjec to horses staying sound then Michael and John Whitaker are certain of a place, then perm any 2 from Ellen Whitaker, Will Funnell, Nick Skelton and David McPherson.

Tim Stockdale is out of the running as Corlato is injured and Robert Smith has no form to speak of this year. I think Nick and Arko will be outsiders for a place unless Arko proves himself at the highest level again very quickly, although he does have Russell as a fallback if necessary and his experience is second to none.

I'll stick my neck out and say Ellen and David for the last two places

Emma Hindle - Lancet
...or maybe Wayne Channon but he hasn't been so consistent this season...
 
I only really know about Eventing but my choice woud be:
Mr Fox Pit
Zara Philips
Pippa Funnel
Mary King

and Piggy French, Heidi Woodhead and Oli Townend as reserves
 
I agree, definately John and Michael, then probably Ellen and Dave, but Will is always in with a chance. Shame Corlato is out coz she really deserved to go. To be honest I think we are gonna struggle again this year, we r just so inconsistent.
