Sorry everyone this is going to be abit of a pointless, self indulgent, gushy post but those who have followed the horrid ones story will understand why I'm so bloomin proud of the lad.
I've been having trouble putting Herbies saddle on lately. He's become very agressive about it again and tries to spin round and kick me when I approach him to put it on. When he's in the school he refuses to work and realy resists going forwards. Untill I take the saddle off and ride him bareback that is.
I think the saddle must be pinching him somewhere.
anyway Herbs isn't the sort of pony to be ridden in the school more than two days running and as we all know he doesn't lunge anymore and I don't realy want to give him time off So the other day I though sod it I want to ride my pony up on the forest. So I put his bridle on, Led him to the gate clambered on and rode him out bareback. Oh we had a lovely time trotting and cantering We both realy enjoyed it. All those hacks in the passed, batteling to walk even 100yards seemed a distant memory.
I returned to the yard feeling like I owned the best darn pony in the whole world Words can't describe how much the little guy means to me. Even when he's having a horrid moment I still love him as the times when he's not horrid make up for it all.
Ok i'll shut up now. Thanks if you read my post.
I love my pony xx
Just to add. I am getting his saddle checked soon so please don't anyone worry about that.
