A completely different thread from my last, as although my evening has been terribly depressing, my morning and afternoon were fantastic!!

Remember how I was going to try and take Ned out alone?
Well, today it happened :D

I didn't think it'd happen so quickly!! I thought it'd be at least the summer!

My mum came today to help, we both started out on foot and it started very well. However someone was walking around behind a hedge, throwing things on a log pile. He did NOT like this and even reared slightly! He sweated up almost instantly and was shaking, but we got him past and he settled quite well.
So, I decided it was time to get on.

He was amazing! He didn't spook and just followed my mum along like she was one of the herd :)
We walked for about another 10mins and then turned back.
We met cars, dogs and shouting ladies, haha! He looked at the dog, but didn't spook.

I jumped off just before the yard, as that log pile was now a bonfire and there was a huge amount of smoke. I would have stayed on, but as it was his first go out alone, I'd end on a good note.

Well done. Just a word of caution tho; its best to always hack nappers in a loop instead of turning back round. Bet you're very proud tho.

Although I couldn't do a loop today, I did do a little test. When we turned, I then turned him back again and walked another 20 yards up the road, just to see if he could go back again and he was fab :D Of course he was just following mum, but for now, I'm happy with that :) I'll start walking infront of her and then going for little trots by myself etc ^^
