It was beautiful out there today, so warm when the sun was out. Had a lovely quiet potter round the roads and saw one of our resident buzzards really close up xx

:D

It's warming up for you over there then?:)
My Mother lives in France (Lot) and tells me that it's been 20C over there and she's been sat in the garden! Garden..? I don't even remember what mine looks like;)

The horses have been out here too, the trotters next door start exercising at 7am (about -14C this morning) S was out a little bit later than that, and was NOT a good boy today. It isn't as if he doesn't watch the trotters work every single day either.

My daughter rode out at 8am and I went with her on my bike - it was really beautiful, sunny, little bit fresh still, dew drops on everything - fantastic. We made the most of it as it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow!

Me! Husband came too for part of it, with the three dogs, and was on gate duty for me. Out for an hour in the sun, and my daft horse was full of beans (old and unfit though) and came home lathered with sweat and puffing like a dragon, but very pleased with himself.

Me. I had a lovely ride today - felt a bit nervous as was hacking alone (and I am trying to get over my hacking alone confidence issues) but my boy was a complete star. He never put a foot wrong. I had a great canter along a track and got home safely with a bit smile on my face!!! Made me feel great.

Me too, was a lovely day and had my first canter on my new horse, have had her since October but have been battling confidence issues. Don't know if it was the sun or my amazing friend who knows when to give me a nudge in the right direction but just felt the time was right and went for it. Wasn't perfect, just a few strides, but i did it and i'm still in one piece!

Yeah I rode out this morning just after I turned the rest of the horses out. But it was cloudy sun came out in afternoon. haha.
Went for a lovely ride along the gallops and did some trot and canter work. Had a short spell of hacking way home and popped a few xc jumps while we were out. Was beautiful and she was a total star!

Me! I was suppose to be doing a jumping comp but it was cancelled so I went out with 5 others. We had a lovely long canter together and he was fast but steady. Then we had to leave them as I needed to get back for noon and he was such a good boy,no fuss, and then we had another gentle canter up the hill and a blissful trot in the sunshine back to the yard. Hopefully we'll get out for another hack tomorrow.

I went out on mine! It was a lovely day and i went a bit further today and also had a little trot! I decided she couldnt be lame having hoolied round the field when I tried to catch her! Sound as a pound! Of course when I actually got on board it was very hard for her to walk away from home...funny how there was a distinct improvement on the way back...

Me!
Wearing only a bodywarmer - well, other clothing too but no jacket:p

Lad hasn't been ridden for 2 weeks for various reasons- he was very good- got on board after only 10 mins of half-hearted shuffling (this is good;)) ...had a few canters ....was actually laughing out loud as I rode, like some demented mad woman:D

Yeah, had a lovely hack to a nearish Trot Route, 11 mile round trip. Took in part of a XC course, my mate popped a few jumps (I don't do jumping yet) and the sun came out just as we got back to the yard.

Next week we're off to Chobham Common for a 10 mile endurance training ride, we'll need to pick our speed up a bit as it took us 3 hours this morning, although we did have to negotiate gates, very muddy steep slopes and some woods.

I didn't hack but had a great day:

Slept in
Mucked out
Practised for dressage tomorrow
Washed our yards lorry
Washed my big ole boy (with baby shampoo and those scrubby gloves for the shower)
Cleaned tack

All in shirt sleeves! Woo Hoo

Then...
Had fish pie for tea (made by Grandma)
Had a bath while watching the rugby on BBC iPlayer
Learned my dressage tests

logged on to HHO forums :D:D

I did too, haven't ridden for 10 days so madam was a little bouncy! However she was a good girl, even had a polite canter up a little hill.
It's rubbish that it's supposed to be so wet tomorrow as I have the weekend off. Planning on watching the rain while cleaning tack for Monday as its supposed to be better!
