i succesfully towed myself for the first time to a show today and did a clear round and had no hassle whatsoever (new easy going horse after 4 years of horrid horse) towing myself was the worst part, felt sick!!!!!

I never have enjoyed towing and still dont!

I ended up buying a horsebox in the end! I was buying and selling ponies at the time so quite often was towing inexperienced young horses and found it a bit nerve wracking if they werent good travellers. Lorry just felt so much more stable!

I am off to a couple of horse shows tomorrow just to plug my horse show next weekend! Got to go and give out schedules as havent had a great deal of entries yet and have some lovely rosettes and prizes for my show on the 6th and need people to come and win them! LOL

Hmmm, looking after and cuddling my lame horse

which given she only came home from the vets on Friday, after being there over a week, was pretty cool to me!

Well done towing - I've still not plucked up the courage for that one so get OH to tow me.

Did some dressage and jumping on my cob today, he was a last minute replacement for my mare who was ill, but was very pleased with him.

Well done towing!

I bought a horsebox on Saturday (pick it up Tuesday and can't wait!), then yesterday hacked madam down to a local yard for their in-house show that I had been invited to and did some stressage. She was MUCH better than last time.

And today ester is coming to visit and ride!

I hacked my new baby nag out for 1st time on his own on sat ( 1spook and a little wobble) then introduced him to the chaos of the village yesterday- cars, old dears on scooters, dogs and bikes (didnt bat an eyelid at anything) even the insane people drivng too fast with me with huge luminous tabard on saying please past wide and slow. Cheeky mare shouted we shoudnt be 2 abreast!!! on the main very wide road thru village ( err mayb you shd do the speed limit dear)

Am going to attempt mane pull today- eek wish me luck as for the past umpteen years i have only had to hog!!!

So all good- hope others are having lovely time too!!!

We rode FB and Ari home yesterday - 22km past everything you could think of and they were great.

Put stable mats down - so we will see how we get on with those, but judging from the look of it at breakfast, FB has trashed his poo into the bed as usual and Ai has just pooed everywhere!! I will see how I get on with clearing up later, if not, it's back to deep litter.

Towing does get less nerve wracking the more you do it. I can sympathise as after years of towing a trailer I've just started to share a box. I've only driven it with horses in twice and am still finding that pretty scary!
I could only take 1 in my trailer, so its nice to be able to take my friend along with me. Yesterday we went to a small local show - I wouldn't normally have bothered but as I had promised my friend a lift I thought I might as well take Boo along. It was just 2'3 and 2'6 jumping, but we had a fall the other week so it was perfect for getting our confidence up and we got a 3rd and a 5th - we just can't nip round the turns like those speedy ponies!
Boo will be having a well earned rest today while I spend some quality time with my OH.
