Not so much to avoid, as I couldn't care that much either way, but I'm hoping the roads will be ever so quiet, so we can have a nice ride out - I rarely hack out from the yard (rather box to somewhere quieter) as its just not safe, but hoping if I time it right everyone will be tucked up at home!
A major "Who cares?" moment for me. Dont' wish them problems, but just don't care one bit....any excuse to go riding is worth it. I'm hauling my horse for a months training tomorrow anyway, that worked out well.
I said to daughter yesterday (after her doing lots about the Royal Wedding at school) "should we watch it on TV, after all it is quite a historical event".....
and she replied.....
"NO! Everyone else will be watching it, so lets go to the stables to ride....it'll be nice and quiet!!!"
Me! If my daughter wants to ride our shared horse I will retreat to my greenhouse! I can see enough on the news later - a bit curious about the frock but nothing else really.
Am I the only one who feels a bit sorry for them? Surely getting married is stressful enough without having to worry about the world and his wife (if you will excuse the expression ) tuning in, all the crowds and security etc?
Hoping the roads will be quiet and the sun shines...I wish the couple all the best but it seems allot of hype over a wedding and I'll be spending my day at Bradwall Horse Trials
ME!!! I'm going to go out for a nice long hack and hope not to blunder into any street parties, then I'm going to do a bit of mooning on a motorway bridge and see if I can get myself on South Today
i'm hoping to be up the yard as well. unfortunately though it will be repeated, make every news headline, in all the papers etc etc etc for the next few weeks so even if it's avoided tomorrow we will still have to endure it for weeks to come!
No! will be getting up extra early to get the horses done then its infront of the tv for the duration,a great National Event and great music too,we had "Jerusalem" at our wedding! good old Parry. No one else does it like us Brits! pomp and circumstance, fantastic.
Dont be such a miserable and un patriotic bunch, you've all got an extra day off because of the wedding haven't you!!!
I will watch a bit of the wedding as I'm only really interested in how she looks. She is such a beautiful young lady I think she will look stunning. There will still be plenty of time to go and play with my horse at some point during the day.
I'm going xc schooling for the first time. Booked the place for 2pm and the lady said we are the only two booked in! For a bank holiday I was quite shocked.
