One thankfully fixed (Q) & one still broken (Spider)
I took Spider to his first show for 6 months & half way through his 2nd test he went lame & now has a foot abssess!
He's been in work for about 12 weeks in the last year!!
Mine still broken - has been for last month and a bit. Started with corn which led to abscess, went back out in field and got nasty kick on hind and now has (hopefully just) sprained his coffin joint - got another 3.5 weeks til vet comes out for hopefully the all clear
My loan horse was broken but now she is better than ever. However, because she's being sold for a lot of money and the people who are buying her can't take her home till 2nd week of April I've got to watch her in the field looking fantastic and can't take her hunting in case I break her. SOOOOOOOOO frustrating. Still - at the end of it I get a large whack of commission so that sort of makes it worth it!
New horse managed to tread on himself in the trailer when he was picked up, lose a shoe, stand on the nail and is now lame. We haven't paid for him yet surprisingly after that. Hope this isn't the start of many disasters for us!!
one of mine is kinda broken, in that the hole in the fetlock is now filled in and it is turning into proud flesh city.... a blow to the fact he was being built back up slowly following a stifle injury...... actually I am not sure if he counts as a *true* broken pony as the vet has given permission for him to go back into work as long as he is bandaged up like a mummy!
Mine is almost not broken. Well she'll never be the same (only hack-able now) but vet said she's only slightly lame downhill and on a left turn now and I can work her starting mid-April. To date we've done one month of "is she, isn't she", four and a half months of box rest, and eight months of field rest. I haven't ridden her for a year on Saturday! Roll on June when I can get on board again, all things being well!
I am well and truly paranoid now though about her legs
April broke in November and is now starting walk work. Flynn has been broken for about 5 weeks now and we still don't really know what's wrong - different diagnoses by different vets.
