Who's responsibility?

I AM the owner and trying to get to the bottom of it all and sort things out LEGALLY!

For obvious reasons, as stated earlier, I cannot publicise every detail but please be assured I am doing my very best to get him home.
:)Again thanks to everyone for their help

Out of curiosity, was there anything marked on www.nedonline.co.uk that the horse was out on loan, from reading the Stolen forum posts this is always recommended, means that a duplicate passport can't be issued and the horse sold with a passport if the owner has marked on the website and associated themselves with the horse, may just have made tracking down the horses owner a bit easier.
Cuffey or MHOL would be the best people to advise on this from HHO.

And for HHO bringing people together :)
Absolutely! Without HHO, would never have known! :D:D

This is very good advice! I do wonder though, how many people who loan horses out actually would know to do this, or that NED exists. The only reason I've my horse on there, associated with me, is due to finding out about the site on here.

Hi everybody
Yes he is registered on NEDOnline, all mine are on there. I made sure I did that before he went out on loan I'm not sure how many people use it. I think it should have more publicity to bring it to more peoples attention, so that all us horse owners get more protection from situations like this or sadly, in other cases, theft.

Thanks again for all your support.

:)x

Exactly the same as me, I only know about it through checking the Stolen forum threads and what MHOL and Cuffey etc have put on there, I am now waiting on a duplicate passport coming through so I can associate myself with my horse (still sure it's at the vets from when she went over there as that's the last time I seen it!!!)

Hi Guys, Many thanks for the support! :)
I really want to do things "properly" to get him home, but red tape is making things rather difficult to say the least.Thank goodness I've found out what was happening. I will keep you all posted.
Thanks again to everybody who is helping

Just go and collect the horse??

holly mother!! I have only just read this!! Gosh I hope that you get him home safely. I have a horse out on loan and it is a mind field I cant understand why we have to send them with passports??? Apparently they are not legal ownership documents, so they why will the transporter not take them without it! TOTAL mind field. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you and its amazing how this site brings everyone together!!!

Sorry just need to go ! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH! GRRRRRRRRR:mad:
Not at anyone one here-just the situation and seriously need to have rant but cant!!!!

Thanks again for the support:)

I've been watching this with intreast , have you sorted it quite interesting , by that post it doesn't sound good !!!

Sorry Lochpearl, the posts crossed :o

Its a bit difficult as I dont want to implicate any of the parties who have helped through this forum so I dont really want to say where he is at present. The people local to this know. I'm more frustrated with the Police service and their lack of interest to do anything constructive and also them telling me to do something which I actually thought was illegal!:confused:

Have you tried seeking legal advice , If police have said to do what you thought was illegal then your more in your right to go and get horse

Of course I understand, I just wondered if any of us could help if we are local.

I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this, I really hope that it gets sorted quickly for you and your horses sake. x
