Clipped both of mine today for the first time since the start of Nov, how many of you have clipped in the last week/10 days and who will clip again after this as well?

I clipped last week, ummed and ahhed about doing it as he will still looked clipped in June!! Seems to take ages to moult, then suddenly his coat just dissapears.

I clipped today having not clipped since the beginning of november as well!! I will probably do another clip early-mid feb and that will be it until october.

I clipped my daughter's pony on Thursday (last done in beginning of nov) and will probably do her again in the middle of Feb! Going to do mine next week but probably won't clip her again in Feb!

I clipped today (3rd this winter) and may yet get one more in this year. Depends how she grows out - for a DWB, my mare certainly grows one hell of a yak coat!

Mine all need clipping again for what will hopefully be the last time - but leaving it as close as possible to the regionals and stallion shows that we have entered so that they look as smart as possible! Also nothing to do with the fact that I hate the job of clipping and am becoming very good at procrastinating!

I have 4 that need done, but with another inch of snow on the ground today, I'm hanging off doing it. Can't ride, so seems mean to fully clip them all at the moment. One will have to be done before next weekend.

mine's had a blanket clip this week as she's so hairy! she was fully clipped in September and November but with threat of more bad weather i've chosen the blanket clip this time.

Clipped my daughters pony new years eve he was so fluffy everybody kept saying how fat he was, now hes done everybody keeps saying how slim he is!!! That will be it now as he shows so need the summer one to come through!! Would hsve preferred to have done a week or two before xmas but the weather was so bad and she couldnt really ride so left it! But had to be done she rides every evening and bombs around and he gets really hot, also shes got her first outing of the year tommrow and lots of PC stuff comeing up so couldnt put it off!!

We keep clipping ours into the spring to keep them looking tidy although from now on, being TBs, it is mainly cat hairs unless they have been off work. It has never interfered with their summer coats. Many eventers, both TB and part-bred, will be clipped again before the early events to tidy them up.

Ive put off clipping Mels as she is out of work, but her unclipped parts are 4 inchs long and about an inch and a half thick, her clipped bits (last done early Nov) are 2 inch long and nearly an inch thick....I cant deal with that coming out en masse, and I have no idea what her skin is like, I cant get to it! She is going to have to have it off!

I took my boys off today what a differnece a new sharp set of blades coempared to last time i clipped at the start of now when they where nearly blunt

what comes through now will be summer coat =)

I'm doing my last clip at the end of this month and were taking everything off (currently has a blanket) as he's getting worked harder now and I don't want to look like a wooly mamouth when he moults.

Did my third clip of the year today but am expecting it will probably be his last. G doesn't have a thick coat at all so shouldn't need a clip come summer.

i fully clipped taz this afternoon, he will probably get clipped once more towards the end of the month before i go to compete on the 29th and then that will be him untill september

Did first one in mid oct, was going to do them again the week before xmas but got that flipping virus so only just got over it. Wasn't going to do them again, but they got sweaty going out for an hours walk this weekend, so think I'll do them again this week.. Am thinking it won't grow out in time for summer shows, but would rather they're comfy now. and if it goes cold again they might actually have to work a bit to keep warm and lose a bit of the extra fat they're carrying about!!!!!!!

I'll clip Rio either next week or the week after, then maybe once more, but hopefully not!

Kaiser will be clipped late March ready for his grading in April.

Macey is sometimes clipped all year round (shes haiiiiiry!) so whenever for her. :)

I clipped everything 3 weeks ago - as of today - I will clip out J fully by the end of the month - no way are we dealing with all that hair! P is already changing her coat so will not be clipped again this year. B is ok at the moment but will get a tidy up clip at the end of the month to get rid of the cat hairs. Last year I clipped them all at the end of Jan and then we were grounded again for most of Feb due to snow so I hope that does not happen again this year!
