hi, im not sure if i have posted this in the right place but oh well.. i was just wondering if any one could give me some advice...

next week i am going to a show where im competing my 14hh connemara in two class: firstly m and m working hunter and second novice working hunter horse/pony. For m and m working hunter it says the pony must be shown in its natural state (unplaited?) however in whp i believe you are meant to plait? However the classes are straight after each other so there would not be enough time to plait or unplait my pony. So should i plait her or leave her natural?

thanks :)

I think don't plait - she would be correct for the first class and in the second you could explain to the judge that you have just come straight from a m and m class.
Or - do you know anyone who can do speed plaiting!

Due to the breed and the class before, leave unplaited, you won't be the only one, if the judge has any brains about them, they will know.

Good Luck.

In the m&m workers, you shouldn't plait. In whp most will plait but if you don't have time to plait don't worry about it. I take my fell into whp sometimes and never plait. No ones ever commented on it.

i dont know whether its affiliated or not but whp are meant to be plaited, as its stated in the rule book

"59.In all classes, except Heritage Mountain & Moorland including Part Bred Heritage
Type classes, animals manes must be plaited except animals with hogged manes"

I have known people be sent out the ring for not having there ponies plaited
