ok, Iam FED UP of my non horsey neighbour having 2 horses (1 small horse, 1 pony) in his field and they are literally left to fend for themselves. They have matted manes and tails, pony is too fat, horse is ok at the mo but gets very lean in winter as he is old and has no teeth. They both have VERY long feet, splayed right out and now begining to curl over.
Trouble is
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME
Both myself and my other neighbour have told him he needs to get Tuppence (pony) and Fly (horse) seen, but he gets very defensive and claims he can't catch them. Offering to help has seriously fallen on deaf ears.
If I could I would have them to look after, but as they are geldings I can't and as Tuppence is a rig I REALLY can't!
So, what now? Do I contact someone again? At the mo its just their feet really although Tup probably has lami, but the poor old boy needs something extra before all his ribs start sticking out?
Who shall I call. Ideally they need to go to a new home!!
