WHW video, mare suffering with the worst feet I've ver seen

This is truely shocking.

But can someone explain to me why in this case her feet have grown the way they have? Why hasn't she suffered any broken bones (seemingly its just the feet) and why is it her hind feet have suffered SO much.

AND why oh why do people who do this, get away so lightly from animal ownership?

This has been mentioned before on here and do believe the horse was put to sleep due to feet conditions
Such sad thing to happen to a horse and she was a stunning mare and a complete waste
I like to now how they grow like that
Cause if my horses feet need trimming they do start to form cracks ??

Untreated laminitis by the look of it to me. Don't know if that is the reason why she has gone to walking at the back that way, the hooves in severe untreated laminitis usually curve upwards and forwards into 'slipper' feet. Laminitis can be worse in the hinds than the front or even just evident in the hinds.

Hooves can also go flat when the pedal bone 'sinks' rather than rotatiing, possibly like the front hooves on that horse in the video.
