Why advertise what you haven't got.....(PART 4 & FINAL)

For those who read my previous rants......... I phoned Derby House this morning to order the show shirt. They hadn't got it in stock either, yet it's still on their site being advertised. They told me they'd order it & I would get it in 7-10 days. I had to tell them that they can't order it as it's discontinued!! I know more about their stock than they do!!

For all those people who sing the praises of shopping on line this is certainly a reason why going to your local tack shop is better...... you can see they've either got the item or they haven't.

To Recap Derby House, Surrey Equestrian, Frogpool Manor & Tack Sales are all advertising what they haven't got & furthermore they can't get the item because they are discontinued. That is why I was contacting them as they had the one I wanted advertised. They would have accepted an order either on line or over the phone, had my money & then in a week or so I'd have to arrange a refund. Surely when something is ordered on line the system will subtract that from stock so the company will know if it is available for sale or not.... Horseloverz, Rideaway & various others do.

Basically four of the major online tack sales companies are falling woefully short on service & from attitudes shown, they don't appear to care.

Very poor service I agree. Robinsons do tell you, online, whether something is in stock or not and my persona lexperiences with this firm have been good.
 
I've had the same issue with Derby House. I ordered three rugs. They were all paid for. After a week I rang up to see where they were. Apparently they were out of stock and discontinued. I would have to wait for my refund to come through. I'd spent the money I had for rugs with Derby House so I couldn't even go else where to buy them til the refund came, and I had three cold ponies!
 
I have checked the websites today & in fareness Surrey Equestrian have removed the show shirt from their website

The others have still not & despite them all knowing they have no stock & cannot order any from the suppliers they still have them advertised & you can still try & buy from them..... Disgraceful isn't it!

I like the fact that Equestrian Clearance mark online whether they have something in stock or not.

This sort of thing really gets my goat!!!
 
I've had so many problems with DH that I told them I would never order from them again.............years ago they used to be good but sadly no more.
 
I never buy from DH - Received my order this morning(Tues) placed with Ride a Way on Friday. Note my location!!
