Why am I getting pins and needles all of a sudden?

I’ve been riding now for about 8 years. All of a sudden, I’m getting pins and needles in my feet (one slightly worse than the other) after about 45 mins in the saddle. Both dressage and jumping saddles, worse in the jumping saddle.
I wonder why this has started just now? Am I doing something wrong maybe, gripping or pinching or too much weight in my stirrups?
Or am I just getting old?!

Anyone recommend some magic stirrups?

I would also say nerve pressure higher up in your leg or pelvis, not specifically due to your feet/stirrups setup. I'd maybe see a phyio or chiro, preferably one with experience of horse/rider physiology. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I had an issue like this a few years back - turned out to be disalignment of the hips causing a pinched nerve in my lower back, i went for regular Bowen therapy sessions and this really sorted it out and it has never returned. Hope you find the cause and a solution soon!
